In 2013, Ukrainian wooden churches were added to the list of objects of cultural heritage of UNESCO. Ukraine together with Poland submitted to the international organization a list of sixteen churches - eight in the territory of each state. 1. Church of St. Jura, Drogobych
The temple was not always in Drogobych. It was transferred to the city from the village of Nadiev (Ivano-Frankivsk region) in 1656. The church was exchanged for salt.
